S. Verrall, October 1, 2023October 1, 2023

Supportive communities play a crucial role in helping individuals who are struggling with various challenges, whether they be physical, mental, emotional, or social. These communities can provide a sense of belonging, understanding, and resources to help individuals navigate difficult times.

The following are examples of supportive communities available to you. However, a quick Google search of “[insert need] support groups near me” or “[insert need] resources near me” may prove to be the most useful information.

Dial 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline

The 988 Lifeline is a national network of local crisis centers that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the United States.
